The ports

The « Port of Trévignon » is under supervision of the « SNSM » (the national sea rescue organization).
Fresh fish can be bought directly from fishermen every day at about 5 pm (except the weekend). At the end of the « Pointe » you can admire the « Villa-Château », a granite castle dating back from the age of Vauban. Its resemblance to scottish castles is striking.
Porz Breign, situated at Pouldohan, is very exposed to gale force winds and to winter storms. Offering a beautiful fine sandy beach as well, it is « the spot » for numerous water sports.
The « Anse de Pouldohan » is a sheltered port. A charming coastal path takes one to Porz Breign, or even to Moulin Mer.

The beaches

Tréguncs seaboard stretches out over 23 kilometers with numerous beautiful quality beaches : Dour Ar Veihl, Kerzidan, N’Don, Trezkaou, Feunteunaodou, Penloc’h, Kerouini, Pendruk, Pouldohan,…
Beside these long fine sandy beaches, several charming little creeks can also be found.

Le Site Classe Des Dunes Et Etangs De Trévignon
(a classified site)

A long row of dunes stretches out over 6 kilometers, all the way from the « Pointe de Trévignon » to the « Pointe de la Jument ». Between beaches and lakes this sandy mass gave birth to a unique universe : two entities inluenced by salt and fresh water, two separate environments with each its specific richness and diversity of wildlife and flowers. The existence of the dunes have led to the forming of seven lakes in a natural setting of 300 ha.

The site has become the property of the « Conservatoire du Littoral »
(Coastal preserving) since 1982, whereas the « Conseil Général » (general council of the brittan region), proprietor of about 20 hectares, participates financially to the management and animation of the site.
It is the town of Trégunc though managing this site and ensuring the development and maintenance necessary to its protection.

This natural reserve is open to the public. At the entrance one will find the so-called « Maison du Littoral ». This ancient iodine factory is the starting point for guided excursions, organised by the association « Bretagne-Vivante SEPNB ».
